In a formal ceremony at Government House His Excellency Vice Admiral Jerry Kyd presented two Sea Cadet Officers with the Cadet Forces Medals and a 5th Bar to the Cadet Forces Medal. The Cadet Forces Medal is awarded to recognise long and efficient service by Commissioned Officers and non commissioned adult instructors of the UK Cadet Forces and is awarded for 12 years service with the Bar being issued for every 6 years additional service.
His Excellency also presented three staff members from Jersey Customs and Immigration Service who were awarded with their Long Service and Good Conduct Award for a minimum of twenty years service.
